STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve’s own Classic Rock 931 FM, KBDZ, swept the STL Magazine’s A List Awards in the radio station category.
The achievement received accolades from many, including Visit Ste. Gen:
“Congrats to our own Ste. Gen radio station, KBDZ and Randy Raley, for a clean sweep in the radio category in STL Magazine’s A List awards in the newest issue. We like to preserve the cool stuff here in Ste. Gen, and KBDZ embodies our rebel spirit in this regard. It goes to show that if you do a good thing for a long time, people will recognize how great it is. Here’s to keeping the good momentum rolling.”
KBDZ was launched in the 1980s by the late Elmo Donze, president of Donze Communications.
Originally the station was located on Highway 51 south of Perryville.
It was later relocated to the Weingarten area where it broadcasts a 50,000 watt signal across a wide area.
Donze Communications also owns and operates KSGM AM 980 and FM 105.3 as well as the Sun Times News Online daily internet newspaper.
