JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri Transportation Task Force invites the public to attend the third annual Virtual Summit on the Missouri Mobility Management Initiative. The online event is on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Central Time.

National and state transportation professionals will present about new programs to improve access to transportation. Topics include New Growth Transit/Volunteer Driver Program, MO Mobility Management Initiative, Easterseals’ Certified Mobility Management Program, MoDOT Grant Programs and Funding, and updates to the Master Plan on Aging.

The 2024 Virtual Summit is brought to you by the Missouri Transportation Task Force (MOTTF). The task force includes representatives from MO Rides, Easterseals’ National Center for Mobility Management, Camden County Developmental Resources, New Growth Transit, Missouri Department of Transportation, Missouri Department of Health and Human Services, and Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council.

“Missouri has tools to make transportation more available through strategic coordination of available resources. MOTTF hopes to share these tactics to make it possible for all citizens to travel to work, school, doctor’s appointment, and leisure activities, as well as have access to their communities,” said Ed Thomas, Co-Chairman of MOTTF. The mission of MOTTF is “to provide leadership, promote collaboration, and gather best practices to improve transportation coordination in the state of Missouri, in order to enhance the quality of life for all Missourians through improved transportation access, accessibility, and affordability.”
