The Ford and Young Funeral Home has announced the passing of 78-year-old Nancy Jane (Williams) Steurer of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at Estates of Perryville.
She was born June 2, 1946 in Perry County, Mo. to James and Mae (Woolweaver) Williams, who both preceded her in death.
She and Marcus Steurer were blessed with 35 years of marriage. He survives in Perryville.
Nancy was a nurse’s aide.
She was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness.
She enjoyed bird watching on her front porch and her flower garden.
Survivors include a son: David (Amy) Thurston; a step-daughter: Sarah Block; a sister: Nellie Besand; a grandchild: Annabelle Lee Thurston.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Jim Williams and Pat Williams; a brother-in-law: David Besand.
Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
