Chester resident seriously injured in Perry Co. Mo. traffic crash

JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 40-year-old Chester resident was seriously injured in a traffic crash on Highway 51 in Perry County, Mo., Friday morning.

 

The Patrol reports Zoraida Flores was taken to Mercy Hospital South by ambulance.

 

The patrol says the crash happened about 7:26 a.m. when the 2016 Dodge Dart Flores was driving crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2013 Ford F350 driven by 44-year-old Karl M. Kasten of Frohna. Kasten was uninjured.

 

The patrol says Kasten was buckled up but Flores was not.

 

The crash happened near Perry County Road 902.

 

The Dodge was a total loss and was removed by Perry County Towing.

 

The F350 had moderate damage and was also towed by Perry County Towing.
