JEFFERSON CITY – A 41-year-old Sikeston woman suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash Tuesday morning on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Tyrese R. Wims was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson by a Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.
The patrol says the crash happened when the northbound 2017 Chevrolet Malibu Wims was driving went out of control on the wet roadway, traveled off the right side of the road, and rotated clockwise, before the front drivers side impacted a tree.
The patrol says Wims was buckled up.
The crash happened about 8:22 a.m. at mile marker 163.
The Malibu was a total loss and was towed by Ste. Genevieve County Towing.
