JEFFERSON CITY –A 43-year-old Ste. Genevieve man suffered serious injuries in a traffic crash on River Aux Vases Church Road Tuesday evening.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Aaron W. Ahrens was taken to St. Louis University Hospital by an Air Evac helicopter.
The patrol says the crash happened when the northbound 2002 Big Dog Pitbull Ahrens was riding struck a deer which darted into its path. The vehicle overturned after hitting the deer.
The crash happened about 7:25 p.m. in the 15000 block.
The Big Dog Pitbull had moderate damage and was removed from the scene by a private party.
