A funeral will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 for 45-year-old Jimmy R. Davis, Jr. of Fults, Illinois, who passed away at 8:37 pm, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born April 18, 1976 in Belleville, Illinois, the son of Jimmy R. and Sue (nee Grossmann) Sr. who survive in Fults, Illinois.
Jimmy married Brenda Dinan on May 29, 2010 on her family farm in Ames, Illinois; she survives in Fults.
He is also survived by a stepdaughter: Amanda (Nick) O’Daniell of Red Bud, Illinois; a sister: Jamie (Steven) Larson of Lenzburg, Illinois; six grandchildren: Amelia and Elizabeth O’Daniell and Logan, Landon, Lane and Luke Fausz; a nephew: Johnathan (Tara) Menke of Smithton, Illinois; a great niece: Maggie Lou Menke; an uncle: Robert “Boots” (Maria) Grossmannn of Millstadt, Illinois; and two cousins: Jason Grossmann and Wendy Grossmannn.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
He had worked as a project manager for D & K Welding Services in St. Louis, Missouri. He had also been employed at Valentine Auto Body for 10 years and owned and operated Greenview Lawn Care, Inc for 17 years.
Jimmy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed going camping and loved horseback riding and going on side by side rides.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud.
A funeral for 45-year-old Jimmy R. Davis, Jr. of Fults, Illinois, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud, Illinois. Pastor Cory Hartz will officiate.
Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Fults.
