Three charged following gunfire incident in St. Mary

STE. GENEVIEVE — Three Ste. Genevieve residents face charges following an incident involving gunfire at a St. Mary residence in the 1000 block of Third Street around 10:40 p.m. Monday, June 3rd.

24-year-old Sean Allen Brown is charged with two counts of armed criminal action, first degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. His bond was set at $200,000.

 

 

 

 

24-year-old Austin James Gegg and 36-year-old Anthony Lynn Gegg are charged with one count of armed criminal action, first degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. They were each being held on $100,000 bond.

According to the probable cause statement all three suspects went to the victim’s residence and one of them, identified as Brown, fired a total of five shots toward the residence. Later three bullet holes were found in a screened in porch. Three spent shell casings and one spent bullet were later recovered from the scene. There was also evidence showing two other bullets had struck the residence.

Following the shooting all three suspects fled the scene.

No one was apparently wounded in the incident.
