Patricia ‘Patty’ Stewart is running for Randolph Co. Circuit Clerk

CHESTER – On April 30, 2024 Patricia “Patty” Stewart was caucused in as the Democratic candidate for Randolph County Circuit Clerk for the November 2024 election.

 

 

Patty is a graduate of Sparta High School in 1976.

 

 She worked at Spartan Printing for 23 years and served as Employee Health Insurance Committee person, Officer of the Bindery Union, a member of the Steering Committee to establish an Employee Stock Owned Plan (ESOP) and served on the Board of Directors of the ESOP Company for the first two years of the employee ownership.  

 

She has 27 years of experience as a paralegal employed for 16 years by three private attorneys and one law firm in St. Louis after which she was employed at Menard Correctional Center as the paralegal assistant supervising the inmate law library.  She was responsible to assist, supervise and train 12 inmate law clerks on doing research of state and federal court procedures, statutes and case law.  

 

She is knowledgeable in court procedures at the county, state, appellate and federal levels.  

 

Stewart said, “I hope to bring the circuit clerk’s office knowledge and understanding of the various areas of court proceedings.  I want to help streamline the filings and communications between the Randolph County Court and the citizens of our county.”
