Three persons hurt in Highway 61 crash

JEFFERSON CITY – Three Ste. Genevieve residents suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 61 in Ste. Genevieve County Friday afternoon.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 33-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson and a 50-year-old woman was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

 

The patrol says the crash happened when a northbound  2021 Ford F150 driven by the 50-year-old attempted to make a left turn onto Village Drive and was struck in the right side by a southbound 2014 Chevrolet Equinox driven by the 35-year-old.

 

The patrol says the 35-year-old man was unrestrained, while the two women were buckled up.

 

The crash happened about 3:25 p.m.

 

Both vehicles were total losses and were removed by Ste. Genevieve Towing.
