JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri Farmers Care (MFC) welcomes the membership of The Poultry Federation (TPF). By joining the organization’s Executive Committee, The Poultry Federation will have a leadership voice in shaping Missouri Farmers Care’s initiatives, outreach, and policies that promote and protect Missouri agriculture. This collaboration will strengthen the groups’ efforts to create opportunities in Missouri agriculture. Formed in 2010, MFC is a joint effort by Missouri’s farming and agriculture community to stand together for the men and women who provide the food and jobs on which our communities depend. Thirty-eight organizations work together through MFC to promote the continued growth of Missouri agriculture and rural communities through coordinated communication, education and advocacy. The Poultry Federation, representing the poultry and egg industries in Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, brings a strong legacy of advocacy, education, and innovation to the MFC coalition. Membership with The Poultry Federation includes every segment of the poultry and egg industry, including, but not limited to, feed milling, live production, hatchery, processing, packaging, commercial egg, marketing and all service and support activities. “Missouri Farmers Care is built on the power of partnership. We are excited to welcome The Poultry Federation to the leadership table as an Executive Member,” said Ashley McCarty, Executive Director of Missouri Farmers Care. “Their leadership, expertise and engagement will help elevate the impact of Missouri agriculture across the state and beyond. Whether we are working on highlighting farm stewardship, improving food security for children or creating new economic opportunities, working together we can accomplish more.” Missouri’s poultry industry is the third-largest livestock commodity in the Show-Me State, totaling $2.2 billion in 2024. The industry supports over 65,000 jobs in both rural and urban communities and plays a critical role in feeding families across the nation and the world. “The Poultry Federation is proud to join Missouri Farmers Care in its mission to support Missouri agriculture and rural communities,” said The Poultry Federation’s Executive Vice President Blake Rollins. “Missouri’s poultry and egg industry is committed to contributing to this important work, and we’re honored to stand alongside Missouri’s leading agricultural organizations to help ensure a bright future for Missouri agriculture.” Missouri Farmers Care is a coalition of agricultural organizations committed to empowering Missourians to make informed decisions about food and farming. TPF joins FCS Financial, Missouri Beef Industry Council, Missouri Cattlemen’s Association, Missouri Corn, Missouri Farm Bureau, MFA Incorporated, MFA Oil, Missouri Pork Association, and Missouri Soybeans on the Executive Committee. With the addition of The Poultry Federation, MFC continues to expand its reach and impact, working together to ensure that Missourians understand modern agriculture, food production and farm life and its connection to Missouri’s food security, economy, and social well-being. |
