STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle defeated Brentwood 9-1 Tuesday in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament.
Valle plays next in the sectional round of the state tournament Monday.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville defeated Park Hills 1-0 Tuesday in the Class 4 District 2 Tournament at Ste. Genevieve.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve beat Herculaneum 4-0 in the Class 4 District 2 Tournament at Ste. Genevieve.
Ste. Genevieve plays Perryville for the district crown at 5 p.m. Friday.
Girls’ Soccer
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent plays Windsor Thursday in the semifinals of the Class 2 District 1 Tournament at 6:30 p.m.
JACKSON – Perryville lost to Saxony Lutheran 1-0 Tuesday in the Class 2 District 1 Tournament at De Soto.
The Crusaders play St. Pius in the semifinal round of the Class 2 District 1 Tournament Thursday at 5 p.m.
Boys’ Golf
PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent finished in sixth place in the Class 2 State Golf Meet at Sedalia. They scored 342 the first day and 349 on the second for a two-day total of 691.
Individual scores are:
Sam Koishor came in second with a two-day total of 154
Adam Charles Brickhaus came in 38th with a two-day total of 173.
Colden Dennis Prost finished in 52nd with a two-day total of 177.
Quinton Oliver Doza came in 72nd with a two-day total of 187.
Brecken Reiss finished in 82nd with a two-day total of 198.
JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran came in eighth in the Class 2 State Championship Golf Tournament at Sedalia. They scored a 378 the first day and a 372 the second day for a two-day total of 750.
Individual scores are:
Bryce Gaebler was 10th overall with a two-day total of 161.
Wesley Kiehne was 49th with a two-day total of 176.
Thomas Hasz was 73rd overall with a two-day total of 189.
Marvin Nash Jr was 89th overall with a two-day total of 224.
STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle Catholic came in fourth in the Class 1 State Championship Golf Tournament at Meadow Lake Country Club in New Bloomfield. They had a first day 356 and a second day 350 for a two-day total of 706.
Individual scores:
Samuel D Kuehn came in sixth place. He had a two-day total of 161.
Conner M Clanton came in 32nd with a two day total of 175.
Eli J Wehner came in 56th with a two-day score of 182.
William G Kuehn came in 71st with a two-day score of 189.
Colton M. Kuehn came in 74th with a two-day score of 191.
PERRYVILLE – Perryville sent one player, Derek Martin, to the Class 3 State Championship Golf Tournament at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin.
Martin came in 25th with a two-day total of 160.
Track and Field
STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve’s girls and boys track team were in action at the Class 3 Sectional 1 meet at Cape Girardeau.
The girls team won the sectional by scoring 105 points.
The individual placers qualifying for the state meet Friday and Saturday include Paul Taylor, who came in first in the shot.
The girls going to state are the 4×800 and 4×400 relay teams who each placed first; Kayden Huck who came first in the 100 hurdles, third in the 300 hurdles, and fourth in the javelin; Kale Clements who came in first in the 800 and second in the 400; Hollyn Zangaro, first in the 3200 and third in the 800; Laurie Parker who came in second in the 1600; Bri Abt, who was fourth in the shot; Aila Wolk, wh who came in third in the pole vault and Ashlyn Wezner, who placed fourth in the pole vault.
