Exemption given to minor workers for events at World Shooting Complex

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois State Representative David Friess of Red Bud announced Tuesday that the Illinois House had passed his legislation dealing with the World Shooting and Recreational Complex.

House Bill 2327 provides an exemption for any minor 14 years of age or older working as a scorer at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex on the dates of the U.S. Open and the Grand American World Trapshooting Championships if the minor is located, during those competitions, at least 15 feet behind the firing line of the trap shooters participating in the competitions.

The bill is sponsored by Representative Friess (R-Red Bud).

The measure was approved on a vote of 113-0 and now heads to the Senate for consideration.
