JEFFERSON CITY — A 63-year-old Perryville man and a 75-year-old Jackson woman suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 72 in Iron County late Saturday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says both were transported by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
The patrol’s report says the crash happened when the west bound 2010 Harley Davidson the man was driving ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The woman was a passenger. The man was not wearing a safety device, while the woman was.
The crash happened about 11:25 a.m. three miles east of Arcadia.
The Harley received moderate damage and was removed by Adams Towing.
