Perry County School District 32 Board of Education meeting held

PERRYVILLE – The Perry County School District 32 has released a summary of the May 14, 2025 Board of Education Meeting.

 

The open session was called to order at 7:00 p.m. and the pledge of allegiance was recited.

 

The board approved the consent agenda items which consisted of:

  • April 9, 2025 Open Session Minutes
  • April 22, 2025 Open Special Session Minutes
  • April 24, 2025 Open Special Session Minutes
  • April Warrants

 

Recognitions

  • Show Me Readers were Brantley Noe, Chiharu Akita, Nia Dauster, Emery Unverferth, Carley Beinlein, Hattie Warren, Annabella Little, Lex French, Talia Crowley, Santos Hernandez-Hernandez, Michael Berkbigler, Brynna Wibbenmeyer, Teddy Hodgson, Everleigh Schwent, Haylee Russel, Himari Sugai, Dylan Hernandez-Chavez, Scarlet Richardet, and Jayden Moore.
  • Mark Twain Readers were Case Hotop, Penelope Brakefield, Chicharu Akita, and Rox Johnson.
  • State Skills USA contest: Cooper Leible

 

The board approved the following:

  • Welding rods & gases bid from Ozarc Gas.
  • Envelope bid from Wehmeyer Printing. The board discussed MSBA policy updates 2025A along with GCBA & GDBA.

 

Updates were given on assessments, graduation tickets, the “Get the lead out” grant, attendance, and a financial report to which the board approved an amendment to the budget.

 

The architects from SAPP and Mike Reik with Raymond James updated the board on storm recovery.

 

The board newsletter was shared along with the district spotlight and the MSBA May 2025 video was viewed.
