Traffic stop leads to methamphetamine seizure and arrest

STE. GENEVIEVE – On May 4th 2025, during a traffic stop in the 600 block of Market Street, officers observed a suspect discard a plastic bag from their vehicle prior to stopping. The bag was later recovered and found to contain methamphetamine.

 

 

Police say the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Upon arrival at the Ste. Genevieve County Jail, a second plastic bag containing methamphetamine was discovered concealed in the suspect’s boot.

 

As a result, the individual has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Jail Facility.
