Illinois Manufacturers’ Association welcomes new board members

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association (IMA) has named three new members to its Board of Directors as the association continues to build on its strong record of leadership on behalf of manufacturers across the state.

 

“These new members bring valuable leadership and industry expertise that will strengthen our advocacy efforts on behalf of manufacturers throughout Illinois,” said Mark Denzler, President and CEO of the IMA. “We’re excited to draw on their experience as we work to grow jobs, boost our economy and move makers forward.”

 

The new board members of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association are:

 

Rob Carney (Caterpillar): Carney serves as Manager of State Government Affairs, Midwest Region at Caterpillar. He is responsible for the company’s legislative and regulatory portfolio in nine states across the Midwest, working with state legislators, government regulators, trade associations and coalition groups. His portfolio covers a wide range of issues including taxation, environmental policy, labor, compensation and benefits, tort reform, workers’ compensation, energy and transportation. Previously, Carney was the Director of Legislative Affairs at the Illinois Chamber of Commerce. With 30 years of experience in communication, policy development, campaign management, issue advocacy and problem-solving, he brings expertise from the governmental, political, and corporate sectors. He earned his bachelor’s degree in American History and Political Science from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington.

 

Troy Deiss (Morton Industries): Deiss is Vice President of Operations at Morton Industries, overseeing strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making to support the company’s growth and innovation. A seasoned manufacturing executive with over a decade of experience, Deiss has held several leadership positions within the company, including Director of Illinois Operations, Human Resources Manager, and Training Manager. In these roles, he drove major process improvements, enhanced data analytics capabilities and streamlined production in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Deiss is passionate about workforce development and advancing innovation and efficiency in manufacturing. Deiss holds a master’s degree in Training and Development and a bachelor’s degree in Technology Education, both from Illinois State University.

 

Erin Doyle (BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois): Doyle is Vice President of Large Group Account Management at BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois, where she is responsible for overall account management functions for the Metro Large Group Division, which serves more than 1.1 million members. Her responsibilities include client onboarding, strategic planning, client retention, revenue performance and overall customer satisfaction. Doyle brings extensive leadership experience having served as Director of Sales Strategy, Director of Product Development and as a Strategic Account Executive in National Accounts for over a decade. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Health with a concentration in Health Care Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
