Community Counseling Centers hosts blood drive May 21

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Community Counseling Center Foundation is hosting a blood drive on May 21, 2025, from 1:30-5:30 pm at the American Red Cross Blood Donation Center 20 S Mount Auburn Rd in Cape Girardeau, MO 63703. This blood drive aims to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and its vital role in supporting the health and well-being of the community, particularly during a time when mental health awareness is heightened.

 

“We have been hosting a blood drive during the month of May, for Mental Health Awareness month for the last five years,” said Michelle Ramsey, Community Counseling Center Foundation Executive Director. “Our intent is to raise awareness for Mental Health, while creating an opportunity to benefit many in our community in an impactful way.”

 

The American Red Cross is a vital provider of life-saving blood and blood products to hospitals and clinics in our region. This blood drive on May 21st aims to bolster the local blood supply, ensuring it’s available for those in critical need. Your blood donation can directly and significantly impact someone’s life.
