Louise Ann Enke

A funeral will be held Saturday, May 10 for 79-year-old Louise Ann Enke of Perryville, Mo. who passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at her residence.

She was born May 23, 1945 in St. Louis, Mo. to Louis J. and Glorine E. (Baw) Ziegler, who both preceded her in death.

Louise and Gerald “Jerry” Enke were married May of 2004 in Perryville, Mo. He survives.

Survivors also include three daughters: Melanie C. (Toby) Taylor, Sara (Brian) Johnson, and Susie L. (Chris) Rahlmann; two sons: Charles L. (Kelly) Picou Jr., and Matthew Picou; a brother: Thomas (Linda) Ziegler; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great grand-children.

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Milton “Bud” Ziegler; a sister: Lois Gilmore; and a grandson: Logan A. Flieg.

 

She retired from Proctor and Gamble.

 

Louise was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Fredericktown, Mo.

She was a true cowgirl, along with being a phenomenal baker, green thumb/master gardener, a seamstress, mechanic, fisherman, leather worker, crocheter, world traveler, while always being sharply dressed.

 

She was a member of several garden and saddle clubs.

 

Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grand-children and friends.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.

A funeral mass for 79-year-old Louise Ann Enke of Perryville will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Fredericktown, Mo. with Rev. Alex Sutachan officiating.

Burial will be at Whitewater Christian Cemetery in Perry County.

Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran School or St. Michael Catholic Church.
