A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 for 81-year-old Thomas “Mr. S.” Stephanides, of Red Bud, Ill., who passed away at 10:24 pm, Sunday, April 27, 2025 at his residence.
He was born April 25, 1941 in Chicago, Ill. to Leo and Mavis (nee McKenzie) Stephanides, who both preceded him in death.
Thomas married Margaret J. Hill on April 23, 1970 in Marion, Illinois; she survives in Red Bud, Ill.
He is also survived by a daughter Nicole (Richard) Sun of St. Louis, Mo., two grandchildren:
Marisa and Alisa Sun; a sister-in-law: Carole Stephanides and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother: Leo Stephanides.
He was a teacher of grades six through 12 for Red Bud School District for 34 years.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pechacek Funeral Homes, Red Bud, Illinois.
