Turkey crashes through pick up windshield, passenger hurt

JEFFERSON CITY — A 56-year-old Farmington woman suffered minor injuries Wednesday when a turkey crashed through the windshield of the pick up she was riding in on I-55 in Ste. Genevieve County.

 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the woman was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

 

The patrol says the driver of the pick up, a 29-year-old Farmington woman was unhurt.

 

Both occupants were buckled up.

 

There was moderate damage to the pick up, a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. It was towed by Buckley’s towing.

 

The incident happened about 6:40 p.m. at the 149 mile marker, about a mile south of the Route 32 exit.
