MSHP reports three traffic crashes

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released reports on three recent traffic crashes in the River Region.

 

Two teens: a 15-year-old girl from Perryville and a 16-year-old boy from St. Mary suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Perry County Road 501 early Tuesday evening.

 

The report states both were taken to Mercy Hospital Perry by Perry County ambulance.

 

The patrol says the crash happened when a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by the 16-year-old ran off the road, the driver over-corrected and the car ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned into a creek.

 

The patrol says both teens were buckled up.

 

The Camry was a total loss and was removed by Perry County Towing.

 

The crash happened about 6:06 p.m. in the 1600 block of PCR 501.

 

A 63-year-old Ste. Genevieve man received minor injuries in a traffic crash in Ste. Genevieve County Tuesday afternoon on Route M.

 

The patrol report states the man was taken to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital by a Ste. Genevieve County ambulance.

 

The patrol says the crash happened when the 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, the man was driving north on M ran off the road, came back on the roadway, crossed the road and then went off the left side of the road. The pick up then traveled through a ditch and came to rest in the yard of a residence.

 

The driver was buckled up.

 

The Silverado had no damage.

 

The crash happened about 4:55 p.m. south of Progress Parkway.

 

A 21-year-old man from St. Jenks, Oklahoma received minor injuries in a traffic crash at midnight Wednesday morning in Perry County.

 

The man was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau by a Perry County ambulance.

 

The patrol report states the man was driving a 2014 Cadillac XTS south on I-55 when it ran off the right side of the roadway at the 136.6 mile marker, struck a rock face and an embankment and then overturned.

 

The patrol says the driver was buckled up.

 

The Cadillac was a total loss and was towed by Perry County Towing.
