STE. GENEVIEVE – A senior at Ste. Genevieve High School has been recognized as a Distinguished Student Leader by the Missouri Association of Student Councils (MASC).
Charlie Corbett is being honored for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and service in student government.
“Charlie’s leadership, commitment, and enthusiasm have made a lasting impact at SGHS,” said Dr. John Boyd, SGHS principal. “This recognition is a testament to his hard work and dedication to fostering student involvement and leadership.”
The MASC Distinguished Student Leader Award is designed to challenge student leaders to expand their leadership skills and experiences while recognizing those who exemplify exceptional student council leadership. Recipients are evaluated based on rigorous criteria established by MASC, reflecting the core mission of student councils.
To earn this recognition, students must be active members of their school’s student council, attend an MASC member school, and be in their graduating year at the time of application. The evaluation process is structured to encourage students to engage in self-assessment, build a comprehensive record of their leadership activities, and demonstrate their impact on their school and community.
The MASC Distinguished Student Leader Award is one of the most prestigious recognitions for student council members in Missouri. SGHS is proud to celebrate Charlie’s achievement and looks forward to seeing his continued success in the future.
