RED BUD — The office of state representative David Friess and the Randolph County Humane Society have announced the winners of the Mural Contest. Students were invited to submit design concepts that they will paint on the walls of the new Randolph Couonty Humane Society building in Steeleville.
Michelle McBride, a student at Red Bud High School took top honors.
Second place went to Loreli Aubuchon, also a student at Red Bud High School.
Third place went to Jennifer Morocho, a student at Sparta High School.
The Mural Contest was initiated to promote community involvement, increase awareness, and create a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere for the animals, staff and the cherished new guardians of its furry friends.
Rep. Reiss and the Humane Society gave a heartfelt thanks to the generous sposors who contributed cash prizes for the three talented artists.
