STE. GENEVIEVE – The 2024-2025 Competitive Speech and Debate team who not only hosted the District competition, also performed exceptionally!
The Ste. Genevieve High School team placed third in both District Speech and Debate out of 16 schools. Additionally, several team members advanced to finals and then qualified for state!

- Lucy Hunsley in Dramatic Interpretation;
- Jayden Rickman and Xanna Powell and Tegan Graves and Caiden Breeden in Duet Acting;
- Jayden Rickman and Xanna Powell in Duo Interpretation;
- Bennett Walls in Humorous Interpretation;
- Ainsley McClard in Informative Speaking;
- Jeremiah Kunz in International Extemporaneous Speaking and Original Oratory;
- Charlotte Mooney in Poetry Reading;
- Jayden Rickman in Prose Reading;
- Kyler Gugel in Radio Speaking;
- Xanna Powell and Bennett Walls in Storytelling;
- Kyler Gugel and Hailey Wells in Public Forum debate; and
- Emily Merrifield in Lincoln Douglas Debate.

- Kyler Gugel and Hailey Wells placed 3rd in Public Forum; and
- Emily Merrifield: District Champ in Lincoln Douglas.
