PERRYVILLE — Perry County School District 32 has received the results of asbestos testing conducted after the March 14 tornado heavily damaged Perryville High School.
According to a news release from the school disrict, some areas of the facility have tested positive for asbestos, which was expected with a building constructed in the 1950s.
Additional testing was conducted lasr week, and district leaders are awaiting results.
At this time, Perryville High School and Perry County Middle School and the surrounding grounds remain closed for your safety.
