Saturday night and early Sunday morning, the number of broken poles grew to 40, as damage assessments continued. There are still about 660 meters without power.
Two transmission structures had fallen causing additional issues and work with underlying distribution. Transmission repairs must be made before distribution can be energized. Work was to continue Sunday with hopes to have one fallen section repaired by the end of the day. The second section of transmission repairs will likely carry into today.
Sunday’s priority was to get as many members back on as possible by the end of the day.
Please continue to stay clear of downed power lines and treat them as energized and dangerous.
Report any hazards immediately.
Thank you for your patience and support as we push forward with restoration efforts. Stay safe!
