SIKESTON, Mo. – Clay Driskill, Senior Vice President – Risk Management with Farm Credit Southeast Missouri has been named to the board of directors for Southeast Missouri Food Bank.
“Clay brings a lot of valuable experience to our board,” said Joey Keys, chief executive officer of Southeast Missouri Food Bank. “He’s served on our advancement committee, so is already familiar with our mission, and his work with nonprofits and financial expertise will be an asset to the food bank moving forward.”
Driskill is a member of the Sikeston Jaycees, Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Association Board of Directors, Tanner Street Church of God Board of Directors, Sikeston Public Schools Foundation Board of Directors, Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Museum Board of Directors, Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Commission City of Sikeston, and Land Clearance for Redevelopment Advisory Committee. He was General Chairman of the 2024 Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo when SEMO Food Bank was the featured nonprofit.
“I have served on numerous projects to raise funds for those in need,” Driskill said. “I see serving on the SEMO Food Bank board as a way to make lasting improvements for neighbors in southeast Missouri. I have served the Sikeston area in many volunteer capacities and enjoy the challenges nonprofit work encounters.”
Other members of the SEMO Food Bank board of directors are chairman Mark Avery, vice chairman Danielle Poyner, secretary/treasurer Laura Coalter Parker, Buddy Barger, Chris Conroy, Julianna Montgomery Ford, Roger Guilliams, John Leibel, Marty Platz, Chris White, Keys, and Frank Jones, member emeritus.
SEMO Food Bank serves families, children, veterans and seniors through a network of 140 partner agencies and direct-service programs across a 16-county service area. Southeast Missouri has some of the highest rates of hunger in Missouri, with 1 in 6 individuals, 1 in 5 children and 1 in 8 seniors living in homes that are food insecure. Seven of the 10 most food-insecure counties in the state are in southeast Missouri.
