STE. GENEVIEVE – Congratulations to Savannah DeRousse, the Elks Student of the Month for March from Ste. Genevieve High School. Savannah is the daughter of Joe and Jen DeRousse.
Savannah’s scholastic honors include: being in the Top 10% of her class for three years, earning A Honor Roll every semester, being recognized with the designation of Summa Cum Laude all four years, and earning the Advanced Chemistry award.
She has been involved in a number of clubs and organizations, including: National Honor Society (NHS) for two years, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) for three years, Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) for two years, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) for one year. Savannah has also been a member of the SGHS football cheer team all four years and received the All-American Cheerleading Award.
Savannah is currently employed at Dairy Queen and the River Rapids Waterpark. In her free time, she enjoys baking, shopping, spending time with family and friends, and playing Minecraft. She plans to major in Chemistry at Maryville University and become a dermatologist.
