JEFFERSON CITY – A 40-year-old Red Bud Illinois man received minor injuries in a traffic crash early Monday morning in St. Francois County, Missouri.
The Corp. A. J. Shibley of the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the man was taken to Parkland Health Center by a St. Francois County Ambulance for treatment.
Corporal Shibley said the man was actively fleeing from law enforcement in a 2006 Dodge Charger when the vehicle suffered a tire failure, traveled off the left road edge and struck the cable median barrier and caught fire.
The crash happened about 3:28 a.m. on the northbound Highway 67 south of McNail Drive.
The Dodge was a total loss and was removed by Buckley’s Towing.
