Farm Bureau delivers food donations to Ronald McDonald House

JEFFERSON CITY – “Celebrate Agriculture: Thank a Farmer Week” is March 2-8.
As part of that celebration, Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) members will donate food to Ronald McDonald House Charities throughout the state. News media in Columbia, Joplin, Kansas City and Springfield are invited to cover our annual delivery of food items by county Farm Bureau volunteers to their local Ronald McDonald Houses.
The donations are possible thanks to MOFB members who donated food items during the organization’s annual meeting in December 2024. The MOFB Promotion and Education Committee coordinates the collection and delivery of food items that benefit families using Ronald McDonald House Charities as a ‘home-away-from-home’ while their seriously ill children receive treatment at local hospitals.
Events will take place on the following dates at the listed locations:
• Monday, March 3 (10:30 a.m.) Columbia RMHC, 1110 S College Ave. RMHC contact: Ashlee Smith
• Tuesday, March 4 (10:30 a.m.) Joplin RMHC, 34th & Jackson. RMHC contact: Jeri Sargeant
• Thursday, March 6 (10 a.m.) Kansas City RMHC, 2502 Cherry St. (Longfellow House) RMHC contact: Alan Luebbert
• Friday, March 7 (noon) Springfield RMHC; 949 E. Primrose. RMHC contact: Danielle Harp
