A funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 for 84-year-old Janet R. Killian of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at The Villas of Jackson in Jackson, MO.
She was born September 10, 1940 in Perryville, MO to Elmer Lawrence and Rita Mary (Richardet) Zahner who both preceded her in death.
Janet and Kenneth Edward Killian were married June 6, 1959 at St. Mary’s of the Barrens Assumption Catholic Church in Perryville. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2008.
Survivors include three daughters and three sons: Kevin (Teresa) Killian of St. Charles, MO; Keith (Johanna) Killian of Boerne, TX; Kathleen (Doyle) Burke of Perryville, MO, Kent (Katie) Killian of Kirkwood, MO; Kimberly (Paul) Burns of Wentzville, MO; and Karla (Rob) Smith of Troy, MO; two sisters: her twin Jean Welker of Perryville, MO, and Patricia (Robert) Crisera of San Francisco, CA; 13 grandchildren: Alexander (Serena) Killian, Courtney Killian, Austen (Kellylee) Killian, Francesca Killian, Lili Killian, Dustin Parsons, William Parsons, Clare Killian, Bridget Killian, Chad Killian, Andrew Burns, Danielle Burns, Jacob (Sarah) Lane; and a great grandson: Roman Killian.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Nathan Lane.
Janet was Secretary for the Miraculous Medal Association and Tour Guide at St. Mary’s of the Barrens Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She did volunteer work for the St. Vincent de Paul Society and American Red Cross with their blood drives. Janet was a member of Ladies of Charity, and Ladies Sodality. She was an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist for St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She retired from the Miraculous Medal Association after 26 years.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville.
A funeral mass for 84-year-old Janet R. Killian of Perryville will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025 at St. Mary’s of The Barrens Catholic Church in Perryville with the Rev. Gerald Blessing officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or School.
