Perryville man suffers moderate injuries in Highway 61 crash

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports an injury traffic crash on Highway 61 in Perry County Tuesday morning.

 

MSHP Trooper K.L. Goforth, in his report of the crash, stated a 32-year-old male who lives in Perryville was taken to St. Francis Medical Center by a Mercy Perry County Ambulance.

 

Trooper Goforth stated the crash happened when a northbound 2015 Chevrolet Cruze the Perryville man was driving travelled off the right side of the roadway, struck the rear of a parked vehicle, struck a ditch embankment, became airborne and overturned.

 

The report states the driver was unrestrained.

 

The Cruze was a total loss and was removed by Perry County Towing.

 

The crash happened about 10:25 a.m. north of Perry County Road 411.
