Senior Sophia Fritsch named January Elks Student of the Month

STE. GENEVIEVE – Congratulations to Sophia Fritsch, the Elks Student of the Month for January from Ste. Genevieve High School.

 

 

Sophia is the daughter of Jerry and Andrea Fritsch.

Sophia’s scholastic honors include: being in the Top 10% of her class for three years, earning A Honor Roll each semester, and earning the designation of Summa Cum Laude for three years. She was recognized with the following course awards: French II, French IV, Agriculture I, Agriculture II, and Landscaping. Sophia placed first in an FFA Speech Competition, placed first overall in a Nursery/Landscape Competition, and obtained her State Proficiency Award.

Sophia was chosen to attend Missouri Girls State and the HOBY Leadership Seminar. She has been involved in a number of clubs and organizations, including: National Honor Society (NHS), Mentors, French Club, and Future Farmers of America (FFA), where she served as president.

Sophia is a member of the track and cross country teams. She earned a varsity letter for cross country all four years, a varsity letter for track for three years, and she and her teammates were district and sectional champions for track.

In her free time, Sophia enjoys running, reading, doing puzzles, and playing card games and board games. Sophia plans to attend Missouri Science and Technology to study architectural engineering.
