Yvonne Marie Steinbecker, 83, of Perryville, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Independence Care Center of Perry County surrounded by her family, who loved her dearly.
She was born April 6, 1941 in Perryville, MO to Edward G. and Mary A. (Buchheit) Robinson.
She and David P. Steinbecker Sr., were married January 26, 1963 in Perryville, MO. He survives in Perryville.
Yvonne was a Medical Laboratory Technician, trained at the Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technique in St. Louis, MO.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She was an employee of Perry County Memorial Hospital and provided decades of care to the residents of Perry County through her professional work.
Yvonne lived a life of service, giving of her time and talent through membership on many committees and boards at St. Vincent and in her community, including the Perry County Health Department board of directors, St. Vincent Education Foundation, and the St. Vincent Alumni Association.
She played a crucial role in the foundation and development of multiple family businesses with her husband, including Steinbecker Livestock and Therapy Solutions. Her favorite jobs were spending time with friends, nurturing her beautiful flowers, and giving love and support to her children and grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for the weekly gathering of family at her home on “Grandma Wednesdays”.
Survivors include two daughters and two sons, Lori (Mark) Brown of Hernando, MS, David P. (Penny) Steinbecker of Perryville MO, Mark (Debbi) Steinbecker of Perryville, MO, Christy (Jason) King of Perryville, MO; two brothers, Frank Robinson of Perryville, MO, Ed Robinson of Perryville, MO; sister, Rose Catherine Buchheit; ten grandchildren, Kelly Yamnitz, Alexandria Hayden, Alanna Hellman, Amanda Williams, Shelby Laughlin, Cole Steinbecker, Marco Nardulli, Nicholas DeRousse, Kyle Steinbecker, Abigail DeRousse; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marge Steinbecker.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025 and on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 9:30 am – 10:45 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.
Mass will be at 11:00 am Monday, January 27, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville with Rev. Kevin Fausz C.M. Officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent Alumni Association or St. Vincent Education Foundation.
