Boys Basketball

 

CHESTER – Chester is hosting the Chester Invitational Tournament which continued last night. 

 

Sparta beat Perryville 75-50 and Gibault defeated Valle 55-41 last night.

 

Tonight: Saxony plays Valmeyer in the consolation bracket at 6 and Chester plays New Athens in the championship bracket at 7:30.

 

On Thursday Perryville plays Valle at 6 p.m. in the consolation bracket and Sparta plays Gibault at 7:30 in the championship bracket.

 

 

Elsewhere:

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve defeated Arcadia Valley 59-50.

 

The Dragons host Potosi Friday at 6 p.m.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent plays at Valle Monday.

 

Girls Basketball

 

PERRYVILLE – The Perryville Lady Pirates beat Grandview 45-33 last night with a great defensive effort improving the season record to 6-5.

Caroline Gremaud and Madeline Gremaud led the way defensively.

 

Offensively, two Lady Pirates in double figures: Aby Amberger had 21 points and Zoe Hoehn had 10.

 

The Lady Pirates are back in action Thursday at Jefferson R7.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve hosts Park Hills Central Thursday at 6 p.m.

 

CHESTER – Chester plays at Carlyle Thursday,

 

JACKSON – Saxony Lutheran plays at New Madrid County Central Thursday at 6.

 

PERRYVILLE – St. Vincent hosts Grandview Thursday at 7:30. 

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Valle Catholic-St. Paul Lutheran Girl’s Basketball team hosts Valley of Caledonia Monday at 5:30.

 

Wrestling

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Ste. Genevieve boys and girls travel to Jackson tonight to wrestle Jackson and Sikeston.

 

STE. GENEVIEVE – Valle wrestles Potosi at home Friday.
