Terry Gillis passed away on January 5, 2025 on the family farm in Sainte Genevieve, MO at the age of 73. He had been battling lung and heart problems for many years.
Terry enjoyed playing the guitar and talking about muscle cars. He played in a band for many years and listened to old classic music. Terry would want people to remember him as the OG of the Skateland Clan of South St. Louis. Terry and his dad owned Gillis Auto Sales, the Orange Bar and Adams Place in St. Louis. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, Jade Gillis of St. Louis; mother and step-father, Dorothy and James Linderer Sr. of Ste. Genevieve.
Terry is survived by his children, Adam (Nikki Deck) Gillis of Ste. Genevieve, Jade Lee (Megan LeAnn Griffin) of Connecticut, step-son Bonzo (Peggy) of Farmington.
In addition, Terry is also survived by his siblings, James Linderer, Jr of Ste. Genevieve; Daniel Linderer of Port St. Lucia; Virginia (Bill) Weber of Ste. Genevieve; Diane (Wayne) Roth of Ste. Genevieve; Mike Linderer of Ste. Genevieve.
Nieces and Nephews, Kyle Luttrell, Brad Luttrell, Tyler Weber, Katie Huck, Matt Linderer, Nick Linderer, Sarah Longman, Kelsey Roth, Rachel Roth. Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews, McKinsey, Braxton, Rhett, Tarek, Alan, Jackson. Rose Weber, who he loved so much and who visited him almost everyday. Terry is also survived by his cat, Mr. Kitters.
Terry will be deeply by all who knew him. We know you are in heaven for you love of God and the love you showed all of us on earth.
