A funeral will be held Saturday, January 4, 2024 for 84-year-old Sandra Kay Stellhorn of Baldwin, Illinois, who passed away at 9:20 pm, Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Randolph County Care Center in Sparta, Illinois.
She was born January 27, 1940 to Charles and Rita June (nee Jessup) Soehnlin in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Sandra married Wesley Stellhorn on May 4, 1968 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville, Illinois; he survives in Baldwin, Illinois.
She is also survived by two children: Diana (William) Becker of Red Bud, Illinois and Glenn (Shelby) Stellhorn of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two grandchildren: Briana and Bryce Becker; two step grandchildren: Audrey and Carter Durand; two siblings: Diane (Fred) Heyde Smithton, Illinois and Gail (Larry) Fowler of Belleville, Illinois; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was also preceded in death by her stepfather: Melvin Stumpf; a brother-in-law: Wayne (Pat) Stellhorn; a nephew: David Stellhorn and her in-laws: Erna and Adolph Stellhorn.
Our loving and devoted mother, wife and grandma Sandra entered heaven on New Year’s Eve.
She was a homemaker. Sandra was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Illinois. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Baldwin, Illinois.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday and 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday at the Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud.

Interment will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Baldwin, Illinois.
