A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 for 80-year-old Barbara Faye Sleet of Jonesburg, Mo., formerly of Winfield, Mo, who passed away December 25, 2024 at Aspire Senior Living in Jonesburg.
She was born March 23, 1944, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., the daughter of Vincent and Ilene (nee Abell) Blanford, who both preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca (Becky) Boyd; a brother-in-law, Jimmie Boyd; and a brother, John (Jack) Blanford.
Survivors include a son, Don Sleet and his wife, Lisa, of Independence, MO; a grandson, Chris Deming and his wife, Melissa; and great-grandsons: Tristan, Nathan and Ryan; a daughter, Debbie Lankford; and a granddaughter, Alexis Lankford. Barbara also leaves a brother, Richard (Rick) Blanford and his wife, Merlita, of Union, MO; a sister, Betty Dette and her husband, Bill, of St. Peters, MO; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Blanford of Troy, MO and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a graduate of Winfield High School and attended Hannibal LaGrange College.
A funeral for 80-year-old Barbara Faye Sleet of Jonesburg, Mo., formerly of Winfield, Mo, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Carter-Ricks Funeral Home near Winfield.
Burial will be in the Winfield Cemetery.
