A funeral will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 for 65-year-old Wayne Paul Kasten of Perryville, Missouri who passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born July 21, 1959 in Perryville, Mo. to Paul Walter and Betty Lou (Hoehn) Kasten.
Wayne and Sherry Gross were married May 25, 1985 at Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville, Mo. She survives him in Perryville.
Other survivors include son, Charles (Michaela) Kasten; daughter, Katherine (Jason) Lindsey; Sister, Beverly (Larry) Erdmann; two grandchildren, Hayden Lindsey, Ariana Lindsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LaDonna Mae Wills; infant nephew, Aaron Wills.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, where he formerly served as an elder.
He was formerly a member of Hill of Peace Lutheran Church in Friedenburg.
Wayne also was an American Legion Booster.
He worked as a mixer for Gilster MaryLee for 37 years.
Wayne enjoyed playing on the Immanuel Lutheran Dartball Team and bowling in the Lutheran Mixed League.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Ford & Young Funeral Home in Perryville and will continue from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville.
A funeral for 65-year-old Wayne Paul Kasten of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran School or Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery for the maintenance of the Hill of Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
