CMU students earn degrees

FAYETTE, MO — Central Methodist University celebrated its Winter 2024 commencement on December 7 in Puckett Fieldhouse on the Fayette campus. Former board of trustees member James Kimbell gave the commencement address as a packed house of family, friends, faculty, staff, and other guests celebrated the graduates. Students were recognized for earning degrees at the master’s, bachelor’s, and associate’s levels.

The following local students were among the graduates on the program for the event:

Ana Marie Dailey, Ste. Genevieve – Bachelor of Arts

Katie Rose Filer, French Village – Bachelor of Science in Education

Makailyn N. Gerler, Perryville – Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Brittney Lynn Kreitler, Ste. Genevieve – Bachelor of Science

Janelle Nelson, Perryville – Bachelor of Science

Morgan R. Schwent, Ste. Genevieve – Bachelor of Science in Education

Since its founding in 1854, CMU has evolved into a university that confers master’s, bachelor’s and associate’s degrees through programming on its main campus in Fayette, Mo., and through extension sites and online.
