Jeanne Kay Richards

A memorial service will be held at a future date for 60-year-old Jeanne Kay Richards of Waterloo, Illinois, formerly of Evansville, Illinois, who passed away peacefully at 12:40 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at her residence with her family by her side. 

 
She was born March 18, 1964 in Chester, Illinois to Eschol E. and Carol Kay (nee Hasemeyer) Richards. Her father preceded her in death, her mother survives in Waterloo.


She is survived by four siblings: Charles (Helen) Richards of Evansville, Ill., James Richards of Evansville, Ill., Cathy Lorenz of Waterloo, Ill. and Michelle (Terrence) Taylor of Athens, Ill.; nieces and nephews: Kayan (Aaron) Pratt of Burlington, N.C., Londyn Lorenz Bluffton, of S.C., Bradley Richards of Denver, Colo., Payton Richards Burlington, N.C.; a great-nephew: Jax Richards of Burlington, N.C.; two step nephews: Johnny Inmann of Chester, Ill. and Ethan Lesperance of Burlington, N.C.; her beloved pet: Pepe; many cousins and friends.

 

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Monty Dale Richards and a sister-in-law: Carolyn Jane Richards.

 

Jeanne loved to travel, write poetry and watch game shows with her family.

 

She enjoyed spending time with her dog Pepe.

 

She was a strong, witty woman who tried to live life to the fullest, through her love for life and family.

 

Jeanne will be greatly missed by all. 

 

It was Jeanne’s wish to be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.


Memorials may be made in Jeanne’s honor to the family and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester, Illinois.
