Filing begins Tuesday for the April Municipal Election

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Board of Aldermen has ordered that a General Election be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 for the purpose of election of officers to the following positions with the City:

                                   

MAYOR – TWO (2) YEAR TERM

ALDERMAN WARD 1 – TWO (2) YEAR TERM

ALDERMAN WARD 2 – TWO (2) YEAR TERM

ALDERMAN WARD 3 – TWO (2) YEAR TERM

ALDERMAN WARD 4 – TWO (2) YEAR TERM

 

Any candidate for the aforesaid positions shall file a Declaration of Candidacy with the City Clerk of the City of Ste. Genevieve between 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2024 and 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024  in order to have his/her name printed on the official ballot at the General Election to be held on April 8, 2025.       

 

The office of the City Clerk will not be open on Saturdays and Sundays or those days designated a holiday by the City of Ste. Genevieve.  The filing fee for each elective office shall be $25.00 payable by check, cash, or debit/credit card. 

 

City officeholders whose terms are expiring are Mayor Brian Keim, Alderwoman Amie Dobbs, and Aldermen Eric Bennett, Joe Steiger, and Mike Raney.
