PERRYVILLE – National Wreaths Across America Day’s ceremony will be held at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial in Perryville.
The Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial (MNVM) is an official Wreaths Across America (WAA) location, and will host a wreath-laying ceremony, joining more than 3,700 other locations across the country for National Wreaths Across America Day.
This annual event seeks to further the yearly mission to Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.
It will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 am at Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial, 1172 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Perryville, MO 63775.
Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992.
The organization’s year-long mission – Remember, Honor, Teach – is carried out in part each year by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies in December at Arlington, as well as at more than 3,700 veterans’ cemeteries and other locations in all 50 states and overseas. MNVM’s Welcome Center and Museum is open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and all outdoor monuments/campus grounds are open 24/7/365.
