PERRYVILLE – The Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa held its November 12 meeting at the Catalyst Center with the theme Move Forward in Gratitude.
President Glenda Gremaud led the meeting and introduced guest Amy Hager to present her program Fly Me Home which is an organization she created to offer funds to military members who want to come home on leave. She began the organization in honor of her son Trevor who served in the Marine Corps.
Hostesses for the evening were Hayley Kasten, Marsha Lintner, and Nancy Reisenbichler and Debra Cobb, Erna Mahnken and Brenda Smith provided hospitality.
Dana Hogard’s roll call questions was: What is your favorite autumn leaf color?
Tammie Lukefahr was the sole November birthday girl.
Jayne Bohnert won the raffle for November.
Funds were collected for Lucas’s Playground as the meeting altruistic project.
Glenda read the devotional entitled The 4 A’s of Gratitude. ( appreciation, acknowledgement, admiration and attention.)

Business discussed included donating $100 to the Fly Me Home organization, receipts of $148.38 from our event at Beef O’Brady’s to be used for the school backpack program, upcoming initiation of Joanie Emundson from the Cape area into Beta Lambda membership, attendance at the Garden Glow at the Missouri Botanical Garden , and plans for a Pound Auction during our December meeting at York Chapel on December 10.
Glenda has been contacted by various organizations asking for our assistance in helping develop a Veteran’s breakfast in Cape and participating on the Senior Center Board in Perry County. We changed wording on the scholarship and grant applications to include additional areas where current Beta Lambda members work and reside.
