Two persons injured in crash on Highway 51 in Perry County

JEFFERSON CITY – The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports two Perryville residents suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 51 in Perry County Monday night.

 

MSHP Trooper J.R. Stombaugh in his report of the accident said a 47-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were taken to Mercy Perry Hospital by the Mercy Perry Ambulance Service.

 

Trooper Stombaugh said the two persons were in a 2001 Ford F-150 which was traveling north on Highway 51 when a 47-year-old man lost control on the ice-covered roadway and the pickup began to skid then traveled off the right side of the road, went down an embankment and overturned.

 

The trooper stated both occupants were buckled up.

 

The crash happened about 7:55 p.m. at Perry County Road 934.

 

The pick up was a total loss and was removed by Randy’s Service and Towing.
