FARMINGTON — “Music Brings Us Together…and Makes Us Better” will be the theme of the December Women’s Connection meeting in Farmington.
Dr. Sherry Francis and “The Uke-Lady-ans” from the Mineral Area Fine Arts Academy will be the Special Feature at the Tuesday, December 10 Women’s Connection Brunch held in the Fellowship Hall of the Farmington Presbyterian Church, 403 W. Columbia from 9:15 to 11 a.m.
Sharon Lawlor, our guest speaker, a popular speaker and Bible teacher in southern California is looking forward to continuing those pursuit’s here in the heart of our
beautiful country.
She was born in western Pennsylvania, but resided in several states as the wife of a Marine, before settling in Dana Point, Calif. where they lived for 40 years. During those years, she raised three daughters and later worked as the director of sales and marketing for an international transportation insurance company.
When her son was born, she quit work to home-school him for five years.
When she was 58, she returned to school and completed a post graduate degree and wrote a book.
In 2021, her husband and son found a B & B for sale in Eureka Springs in north western Arkansas. It reminded her of her childhood and she fell in love! Three months later the forest, lake and hills became their new home. Now living in Holiday Island, Ark. she will share with us how through eyes of love even the ugliest can be “beautiful”.
Your reservations or cancellations are needed by Friday, December 6 for the $10 Brunch which can be made by calling Barb at 573-747-3854 or Mary at 573-358-1274.
