JEFFERSON CITY – Lt. Governor-elect David Wasinger announced today Katie Ashcroft will serve the Office of Lt. Governor as Chief of Staff starting in January.
“Katie Ashcroft brings exceptional professional experience, principled leadership, and management acumen to the Missouri Lt. Governor’s Office,” Lt. Governor-elect Wasinger said. “She is a dedicated public servant, an experienced lawyer, and an important addition to our office. I look forward to working with Katie on the critical issues facing our state and thank her for her commitment to move the conservative agenda forward and serve the State of Missouri.”
Ashcroft began her legal career by serving as in-house counsel to a private holding company in St. Louis. In that capacity, she advised senior management on legal matters, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, human resources, and business organization.

Ashcroft is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with bachelor degrees in business and international studies, and earned her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law. Ashcroft also holds a Masters in Public Administration from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She resides with her family in Jefferson City, Missouri, and is the mother of four children.
