STE. GENEVIEVE, MO — This past weekend, Scouts from across Ste. Genevieve County delivered Scouting for Food bags to homes throughout the community. Now, it’s time to fill those bags and make a difference in the fight against hunger!
On Saturday, November 23, Scouts will return to collect the filled bags starting at 10:00 AM. Residents are encouraged to place the bags filled with non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, pasta, rice, or peanut butter, in a visible spot on their doorstep to ensure pickup.
All donations will benefit local food pantries, helping to stock their shelves and provide essential food supplies to families in need during the holiday season.
“This is a time for our community to come together and show support for those who need it most,” said Shawn Long Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 150. “We’re grateful for every donation and every act of kindness that makes this drive a success.”
Bags should be put out on the Front porch no later than 9 a.m. on Saturday November 23rd, Scouts will start picking up at 10 a.m. and will deliver to local pantries. If your bag is missed or you didn’t get one and would like to donate items, non-perishable donations can be dropped off at Ste. Genevieve County Library any time this week!
Join us this weekend to ensure no family in Ste. Genevieve County goes without food this holiday season. Every contribution makes a difference!
