CHESTER – Randolph County voters cast ballots Tuesday in the General Election. Voter turnout was 14,505 out of a total of 20,235 or 72 percent.
Voters went with the Republican candidates in all races.
Donald Trump for President 10,645 to 3,469 over Kamala Harris.
Mike Bost for 12th District Congress 11,236 to 3,024 over Brian Roberts.
Terri Bryant for 58th State Legislator, unopposed, 12,656.
David Friess for 115th State Representative, unopposed, 12,593.
Republicans also won all local races:
Julie A. “Jany”-Carnahan for Circuit Clerk, 10,887 to 3,252 for Patricia Stewart.
Christopher P. Koeneman for State’s Attorney, 11,070 to 3,030 for Dennis L. Frech.
Tracy L. Vallett, for County Coroner 8,808 to 5,390 for Fred D. Frederking.
Andy Gerlach for County Commissioner 10,978 to 3,077 for Martin “Marty” Giordano.
Three referendums were on the ballot: all passed. They included a measure protecting poll workers (10,915 to 3,008) requiring insurance companies to cover all medically appropriate reproductive procedures (7,591-6,281), and a measure placing an additional three percent tax on income greater than $1,000,000 for the purpose of providing property tax relief (7,556-6,348.)
